FAQ

Password.House - security does not need to be a lonely journey

How can we trust a new service to manage our data?
We are building this so that we never see your data. We seek to serve our own needs and yours as well. We are a team of experienced technologists with a keen desire to see this come to life.

How is my data secure?
We use industry standard PBKDF2 derived keys to lock your vault on the client, meaning it would take us zillions of CPU years to be guess your vault password and see the contents. While we are confident in our approach, we are currently in alpha, and our code hasn't been audited by serious security researchers yet.

How is this different from other password managers
Password house is designed for people that may need help setting up their security, and those helping them. Our history of supporting our family's IT needs means we are designing for real world security implications of less techy users. We believe that most password managers are designed for large IT teams, not your parents. Password house lets anyone help a user succeed in security, without giving way their data to just... anyone.
